REVELLE COLLEGE TO CONCLUDE ITS 40th ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION
WITH FOUNDERS SYMPOSIUM

Revelle College will conclude the commemoration of the 40 years
since
its founding as the University of California, San Diego's first
undergraduate college with a spring symposium entitled "Roger
Revelle's
Vision for the Undergraduate College System" at 4 p.m. Wednesday,
June
1 at the Faculty Club. The session will be an informal discussion
by
some of UCSD's founding fathers, including Herbert York, Keith
Brueckner, Jonathan Singer, James Arnold, Fred Spiess, Avrum Stroll
and Leonard Newmark.
At the conclusion of the symposium, members of the Revelle College
graduating class of 2005 will introduce their senior gift project-
the
installation of a memorial sculpture of Roger Revelle for the Revelle
Plaza.
